How We Source & License Our 3D Models

Trust matters more than volume. This page explains exactly how our low-poly library works: where every model comes from, the licenses that let you use it, how we credit the people who made it, and how we keep the details honest. We are an attribution and discovery layer — we index real, community-published work and always point you back to the original.

Where the models come from

We do not invent our catalog. Every entry is a real, community-published low-poly model discovered through the public API of an established creator platform — currently the Sketchfab public v3 search API. We index each model’s title, creator, license, and technical metadata, then link straight back to the original page.

Important: we do not re-host any binaries. When you download a model, the download happens on the creator’s own page on the source platform — never from our servers. That keeps creators in control of distribution and leaves their view and download analytics intact.

Licensing

Every single model in the library is released under a Creative Commons license and is commercial-use friendly — we deliberately exclude anything you cannot use in a commercial project. These are the licenses we allow:

LicenseCommercial useAttributionShareAlikeTerms

How we credit creators

Every model detail page names the creator and links to their profile, shows a one-click copyable attribution line, and links back to the original source. Even for CC0 models — where credit is not legally required — we still surface the creator, so you always know whose work you are building on and can thank them.

The attribution format we use

"{Model name}" by {Creator} — licensed under {License} ({license URL}). Source: {original page URL}

How we keep it accurate

Technical metadata — face count, vertex count, formats, and file size — is pulled straight from the source platform’s API, not hand-typed. Records are de-duplicated by their source ID and run through a brand-safety filter, and the catalog is periodically re-verified against the source so that changed licenses and dead links get caught and removed.

The library currently holds 200 verified, real models — each with a real creator, a real license, and a working link back to its source.

Report or request removal

Are you a creator who spotted an attribution error, or would you like your model removed from our index? Contact our support team and we will correct the record or take it down promptly. We respect creators’ wishes and honor removal requests.
